[FFIV DS] Will grinding (early on) hinder maxing stats?

Hi!

Just started playing this recently after having picked it up months ago, and I was wondering, after catching glimpses of how augments can help you max stats etc., if I grind in my lower levels (say, under 30~ish) when I have very few augments, will that affect my ability to max stats on my characters later on? Thanks.

Sounds like it. It would be like if you grinded in FF6 before you had the most powerful Espers for boosting stats. I haven't played the DS version but that would be my assumption. I wouldn't advise grinding until you are having trouble with a boss or getting through a particular dungeon, anyway. It's not necessary.

After doing some reading myself I found out that grinding is alright until you hit 70, which is when augments affect your stat gains per level-up. I did grind a bit due to having trouble with a boss early on :L
